Kerala HC seeks urgent decision on Suresh Gopi movie release

The Kerala High Court has directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to decide by Friday whether to certify a controversial Malayalam film for worldwide release.
The makers of JSK: Janaki Vs State of Kerala, starring junior minister Suresh Gopi, approached the court against “unreasonable delay” in granting a censor certificate.
They said the delay in certification is due to informal objections concerning the film's title and the character name “Janaki,” which refers to the Hindu goddess Sita.
In response to the urgent appeal of Cosmos Entertainment, the CBFC) told the court that the movie has been forwarded to its Revising Committee for further review.
