Kerala busts international drug racket, 3 arrested

Kerala police on Saturday busted an international drug smuggling racket involved in supply of mainly MDMA in the state and arrested the kingpin.
After months of surveillance, police arrested Malappuram native Ashiq, 27, who was allegedly procuring MDMA in bulk from a Middle East country and smuggling it into India.
This arrest follows an extensive investigation into a major drug bust in January, in which authorities seized MDMA, hashish oil, and ganja worth millions of Rupees in West Kochi.
The authorities had earlier detained two of his associates, Magi Ashna from Vypin and Ismail Seth from Mattancherry, who revealed key details about the smuggling operation.
