Gold stored in sacred part of temple looted: SIT

The extent of gold theft in Sabarimala has reached alarming levels, as highlighted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) 's crucial findings, which indicate that it was a significant and organised robbery.

The SIT's detailed report filed in the court reveals that gold stored in the Prabhamandalam - a revered part of the hill shrine - was also systematically looted.

This gold was stored in seven intricate layers, and, shockingly, even pieces adorned with images of Hindu gods, situated above the layers of the bed, were stolen, indicating that the robbery was meticulously planned to bypass security measures over the years.
