Aster to open centre for excellence in AI, robotics in Kerala

Dr Moopen's Family Foundation will establish a pioneering Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics on the Social Advancement Foundation of India (SAFI) campus in Kerala's Malappuram district, as the Aster group opened its eighth multispeciality hospital in the state.

Dr Azad Moopen, the distinguished managing trustee of the foundation and tye founder-chairman of the Aster group, signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formal-ising the arrangement with MA Mehaboob, the general secretary of SAFI.

This initiative, named Dr Moopen's Al & Robotics Centre by SAFI, aims to focus on cutting edge research, comprehensive skill development programmes, and robust industry collaboration in the fields of high-end computing and AI-driven innovations. The centre is envisioned as a dynamic hub for fostering academic excellence, technology incubation, and entrepreneurial ventures, with ambitious plans to be fully operational within the next two years.
