'Al Maleh and Fishing Festival' opens today in Dibba Al Hisn

The 12th edition of the Dibba Al Hisn Salt and Fishing Festival will kick off on Thursday evening in Dibba Al Hisn. Organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, the four-day event will be packed with activities on Al Hisn Island, celebrating the fishing profession and the traditional crafts and industries associated with some of the oldest professions in the UAE's history.
The festival will witness a remarkable turnout and wide participation, bringing together government agencies and institutions concerned with maritime affairs, a select group of private sector companies, and leading brands in the salt industry and its products. The festival will also feature productive families, who will find the festival an opportunity to showcase their handicrafts to a wide audience. This creates a rich, interactive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of cooperation, especially as the UAE is in the “Year of Community.” The festival affirms its status
