'We aim to shape a secure region'

Marking a historic visit to India, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi yesterday.

imageDuring the meeting, Shaikh Hamdan conveyed to Modi the greetings of President His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

Shaikh Hamdan, accompanied by a high-level delegation, is on a two-day visit, which coincides with the Dubai-India Business Forum in Mumbai.

After a reception ceremony in New Delhi, which included a guard of honour, Shaikh Hamdan and Modi discussed the UAE-India strategic partnership and ways to further deepen ties, which are marked by a shared vision for the future.
