Preparations are officially under way for the UAE's 54th Eid Al Etihad, set for December 2.

Union Pledge Day commemorates the historic moment when the UAE's Founding Father Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow rulers signed the declaration of the Union and Constitution on December 2, 1971.
This laid the foundation for the nation, and is celebrated as Eid Al Etihad.
