NO VISA FOR CITIZENS OF 12 NATIONS; ANOTHER 7 COUNTRIES FACE PARTIAL CURBS
The United States Embassy in the UAE has issued a notice regarding new restrictions on US visa applications for citizens of specific countries. Effective Monday, at 12:01am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (8.01am UAE time), a US presidential proclamation has come into effect, suspending or limiting entry and visa issuance to nationals of 19 countries.
This development is part of a broader US effort to "enhance national security and public safety by implementing rigorous screening procedures", according to an official statement from the Department of State.
