Pakistan's new HS-1 satellite can monitor the environment

The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has achieved a historic milestone with the successful launch of Pakistan’s first Hyperspectral Satellite, HS-1, from China’s Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre (JSLC).
The launch was broadcast live from Suparco’s Karachi complex yesterday, with Pakistani scientists and engineers overseeing final preparations.
