Dubai Police have announced a major expansion of its noise radar network across the emirate, with fines of up to Dh2,000 for vehicles that cause excessive noise. The move aims to curb loud and disruptive driving.

The rollout supports Dubai’s goal of becoming one of the world’s quietest and most civilised cities.

Police said the number of noise radars will increase gradually in the coming months to cover more neighbourhoods. The expansion is part of the work overseen by the Dubai Civility Committee.
