10 INNOVATIONS THAT USE Al TO ELIMINATE DAILY HASSLES

- BY NIVETHA DAYANAND Assistant Business Editor

From smart cars that detect visa violators to AI assistants that renew your bills before you even remember them, the UAE’s newest wave of technology is set to change how people live and move every day.

The innovations unveiled at Gitex Global 2025 showed how everything — from driving and parking to investing and legal services — is becoming faster, smarter, and seamlessly connected with AI, automation, and data integration.

Smart inspection car

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) introduced a fully electric smart inspection car designed to identify visa and residency violations on UAE roads. Equipped with six cameras providing 360-degree coverage, the car can capture facial images within 10 metres and crosscheck them with government databases in real time. The vehicles will be deployed in Dubai by early 2026.

Traffic lights linked to car

Dubai’s RTA is developing a new Al-powered traffic system called UX Fusion that will send real-time traffic light updates directly to car dashboards. The system uses roadside cameras and computer vision to analyse traffic and synchronise signals across intersections.
