Flexible hours for government employees

Parents of schoolchildren in the UAE will be allowed flexible working hours on the first day of the academic year to help with drop-offs and pickups, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced.

Federal ministries and entities have been instructed to permit employees flexibility in arrival and departure times on the first day of school so they can accompany their children to and from school or home. The total duration of this flexibility is limited to three hours on that day, FAHR said.
