With an impressive skyline and modern infrastructure, capital city Batumi has been hailed as the 'Georgian Dubai', while the wider region plays a central role as Georgia's primary gateway to international markets. “Ajara has witnessed substantial development and remarkable progress, with numerous infrastructure projects successfully implemented to align with international and European standards,” says Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of Ajara. “Our initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for residents, support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, and attract foreign direct investment (FDI).”
