MATT Rose finished with the remarkable figures of 5-1 from 6.5 overs as Stroud were skittled for only 28 by Bourton Vale, who raced to a 148-run win in WEPLs Gloucestershire division.

Chasing a target of 177, Stroud never got out of first gear as Rose and Will Faulkner (5-27) tore through the innings in fewer than 14 overs.

Earlier, Bourton Vale were battling at 20-3 before recovering thanks to Faulkner (53 not) and Musa Twala (40).

Bottom side Thornbury II were bowled out for just 33 and a 296-run reverse away to Langford.

Captain Liam Court's 133 from 112 (17 fours, four sixes) helped power the home side to an imposing 329-5 ahead of Thornbury folding against Tom Stevens (4-16) and Barney Villiers (2-0).
