A MUM-OF-TWO has opened her own business after putting herself through barber school as a single parent. It was no easy feat juggling childcare and schooling, however she is looking forward to the future and welcoming new customers through the doors of her new business venture.

Cut above Determined mum making waves at barber shop

Chloe Breen, 27, from Great Oldbury near Stonehouse, has always been a determined young woman and grafted all her life. She started her career in the hair industry when she was 16 years old by enrolling onto a two-year hair apprenticeship with Reflections in Bristol, along with completing a work placement at a hair salon in Wotton-under-Edge.

During the Reflections apprenticeship Chloe, wanting to have her own independence, moved out of home. She says it was tough going for a while and commuting to work and hairdressing school from Stroud was hard, yet she feels this gave her the skills she needed to strive and be self-sufficient.
