Children rescued from rip tide at popular beach

A CHILD had to be rescued from the sea at a popular beach after being caught in a rip tide.

Three children in total had to be helped to safety from the water at Aberavon Beach on Sunday.

It was the third call-out for Port Talbot Coastguard in the space of a few hours.

When they arrived at the beach they saw one of the three children had been caught up in a rip current while the other two were calling for help.
