George runners shine at 31st edition of Meiringspoort races

George's athletes once again proved their class at one of the Southern Cape's most popular road races, the Momentum Optimum Meiringspoort, held in De Rust on Saturday 11 October.
Lloyd Bosman, Selwyn Matthews and Francois Maquassa led the 21.1km race.
More than 3 000 runners took part in the 31st edition of the event, which featured both 21.1km and 12.5km distances.
It was a weekend to remember for George's Nedbank Running Club SWD, whose athletes dominated the results across both races.
In the men's 21.1km half-marathon, local star Lloyd Bosman led from the start to claim a superb victory in 1:04:02, setting a blistering pace of 3:04/km. This was his 10th consecutive victory in Meiringspoort.
