Rugby se toekoms vonkel in Riversdal

Die toekoms van Suid-Afrikaanse rugby is die afgelope naweek (2 tot 4 Oktober) met oorgawe ten toon gestel en wat 'n pragvertoning was dit nie.
Tyler Rossouw (Laerskool Outeniqua) maak gereed om die Boland-verdediger af te stamp.
Vir drie dae is Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale in Riversdal, se rugbyvelde in 'n bruisende arena van talent, trots en brute krag omskep toe van die land se beste o.12-spelers mekaar die stryd aangesê het tydens die jaarlikse interprovinsiale rugbytoernooi.
Van die eerste afskop op Donderdag tot die laaste fluitjie op Saterdag geblaas is, was dit duidelik: junior rugby in Suid-Afrika is kerngesond, lewendig, sterk en gevul met jong drome wat wag om bewaarheid te word. Elke skrum, elke dryfmaal en elke drie het getuig van 'n land wat sy sport met erns aanpak - van 'n klein dorpie soos Zoar tot by groot stede soos Kaapstad en Gqeberha.
