The Turkish word "Serefe" means to toast to good health, the same as cheers! - and once you've experienced Kafe Serefe's famous food and hospitality, you wouldn't be able to think of a better name. This restaurant serves delicious Turkish-themed food with South African flair.
The idea was born during owner Carolien van Rensburg's travels to Turkey, where she fell in love with the food and their warm-blooded approach to serving customers. She initially intended to have only a coffee shop, but was blessed from day one with a restaurant ...
Rumours have it it might be Van Rensburg's meat that changed her destiny. And so, in 2004, Kafe Serefe was born.
