How India is redefining the landscape of international education

India is making significant strides in redefining the landscape of international education through several initiatives and developments. Here are some key ways in which this transformation is taking place:
By 2035, more than 2 million Indian students are expected to study overseas, making India the second-largest source of international students globally. This trend isn’t confined to Indian students hoping to study abroad at foreign colleges; it also includes those looking to study at the overseas campuses of Indian educational institutions.
On the one hand, legacy engineering and medical schools with decades of history are setting up international branches.
On the other hand, we're seeing new-age business and management schools establishing footholds in leading global business hubs such as Dubai, London, Singapore, and Sydney, offering revolutionary new ways to gain international exposure. Several key factors have driven this expansion.
1. Trusted brands
Indian students are increasingly drawn to studying abroad with brands they know and trust. By establishing campuses overseas, Indian institutions offer a golden opportunity to gain international exposure and experience the benefits of living abroad while remaining within the fold of a trusted Indian educational system. This eases the transition for young students venturing abroad for the first time, providing a support system that understands their cultural and educational needs.
2. Spotlighting Indian talent and bridging global skill gaps
Indian education, especially in STEM and management fields, is renowned for producing highly skilled graduates. Consider the leaders of some of the world's leading technology and business companies. Google, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe and many others have Indian or Indian-origin CEOs.
