Crime chief and MP pay visit to hear concerns

A break-in at an independent shop has led to a spotlight being shone on growing concerns over crime and safety in rural Somerset communities.

Anna Sabine, MP for Frome and East Somerset, hosted Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Clare Moody for a walkabout in Frome to hear from residents about issues such as rural crime, antisocial behaviour, and women's safety.
During the visit the pair stopped at Assembly, a store on the town’s Catherine Hill, where they met shop owner Anthony Hick.
