Club ready to kick on as ground deal approved

Frome Town AFC has announced a "fresh start" with a new owner taking over and a lease plan for its home ground approved.
Last month a proposal to lease the home of Frome Town AFC to a private investor with the option to buy was rejected by Frome Town Council.
On Friday (July 4) it was announced that the club has been acquired by FTFC Ltd.
The club said the council has also approved the lease of its Badgers Hill stadium and grounds to Badgers Hill Ltd, an entity owned by FTFC Ltd.
FTFC says the lease “secures the future of the ground” and would enable long-term planning and investment, along with ensuring the club is kept in local ownership.
