Motherhood with MINDFULNESS
First India Jaipur
|May 11, 2025
Mother's Day is more than a commercial celebration. It is a soulful opportunity to reflect on the sacred role of mothersnot just as nurturers of children, but as author's of humanity's future.
There's a profound Sanskrit saying:
"Mata na asti paradaivatah"
There is no deity equal to the mother.
And yet, somewhere along our modern journey, we've stopped honouring motherhood in its truest, most powerful sense. Today's mothers are exhausted, undervalued, and often left to silently carry the emotional, mental, and spiritual load of parenting. The pedestal that once held the mother as the first Guru, the first womb of culture has been slowly chipped away by societal shifts, unhealed generational trauma,
and the glorification of productivity over presence. Mother's Day often arrives with flowers, heartfelt cards, and breakfast in bed. But behind the smile of every mother lies a universe of silent labour, emotional juggling, identity shifts, and unspoken sacrifices that rarely get acknowledged.
In today's fast-paced, hyper-connected world, mothers are not just raising children-they are holding together homes, managing careers, navigating societal expectations, healing generational wounds, and still trying to find themselves in the process.
Take a pause and think about this:
