Netwealth's governance overhaul underway
Financial Standard
|February 09, 2026
Netwealth said its APRA-mandated investment governance overhaul is underway and is being led at the executive level.
This was part of its agreement with ASIC in December under which it said it will replay $101 million to super members who accessed the First Guardian Master Fund on its platform.
Netwealth said it recognises the importance of this work in enhancing industry standards and is well positioned to respond to an uplift in the practices and regulatory changes.
It also said the First Guardian compensation payments remain on track to be in member accounts by 30 January 2026, with positive feedback from stakeholders on its resolution approach.
