RBI: Credit growth outpaces deposits

THE CREDIT GROWTH of the banking system continues to outpace its deposits, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data showed on Friday.
The bank credit grew 11.42% to ₹193.46 lakh crore for the fortnight ended November 14, while deposits grew 10.24% to ₹240.93 lakh crore.
Deposits have shown a double-digit growth after staying below 10% for the previous five fortnights.
