Next on menu for Zomato founder: regional air travel

DEEPINDER GOYAL, CO-FOUNDER and CEO of Eternal (formerly Zomato), has forayed into regional aviation with LAT Aerospace, a new startup launched with Zomato's former chief operating officer Surobhi Das.
The venture is focused on building 12- to 24-seater short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft, designed to cover distances of up to 1,500 km, unlike air taxis or vertical takeoff vehicles.
"While building Zomato and flying across India, Deepinder and I kept circling back to the same question: why is regional air travel still so broken — expensive, infrequent and mostly out of reach unless you live in a metro?" Das said in a LinkedIn post.
