CreditAccess Grameen reports ₹252-cr profit as expenses decline

CREDITACCESS GRAMEEN REPORTED a net profit of ₹252.09 crore in the third quarter, reversing a net loss of ₹99.52 crore in the year-ago period.
Interest income of the country’s largest microfinance NBFC rose marginally to ₹1,490.41 crore from ₹1,380.38 crore in Q3FY25.
The turnaround was driven by a sharp reduction in expenses, which fell 24% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,153.39 crore, largely on account of lower provisions for bad loans. Impairment provisions more than halved to ₹342.57 crore during the quarter.
