Airtel likely to dial up capex by 56% in FY27

Broadband & 5G network upgrade, data centre push key capex drivers
BHARTI AIRTEL IS expected to increase its capital expenditure for FY27 by as much as 56% year-on-year, according to analysts.
A reset in its capex trajectory has been necessitated by three key factors — slowing momentum in broadband and fixed wireless access (FWA) rollout, data centre expansion, and visible strains in its 5G capacity — they said.
