Govt: Paused Operation Sindoor as targets met

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told the Lok Sabha on Monday that India has fulfilled all its objectives through Operation Sindoor and agreed to a ceasefire without any pressure when Pakistan requested for it, adding that the Opposition was not asking the right questions when it sought to know how many planes were shot down.
Initiating a 16-hour special debate in the House on Operation Sindoor and Pahalgam attack, Singh underlined that Operation Sindoor has been paused and has not ended and that India would again give a befitting reply to Pakistan if it sponsors any other terror attack, as a "new Lakshman Rekha has been drawn". He asserted that India would not accept any nuclear blackmail.
"In any exam, the result matters. We should see whether a student is getting good marks in an exam and not focus on whether his pencil was broken or his pen was lost," Singh said amid applause from the Treasury benches, taking a dig at the Opposition for asking questions regarding losses to the Indian Air Force during conflict with Pakistan.
