L&T profit rises 25%, exceeds estimates

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday reported a net profit of ₹5,497 crore in Q4FY25, an increase of 25% year-on-year.

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION MAJOR Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday reported a net profit of ₹5,497 crore in Q4FY25, an increase of 25% year-on-year. The profit exceeded analysts' expectations of ₹4,545 crore. Sequentially, the net profit rose by a strong 63.7%.

The company, however, fell short on the revenue front. It posted a 10.9% y-o-y growth in revenue at ₹74,392 crore. Estimates had pegged it at ₹76,298 crore. On a sequential basis, revenue grew 15%. Ebitda for Q4FY25 stood at ₹8,203 crore, up 13.4% y-o-y. The Ebitda margin improved slightly on a quarter-on-quarter basis, rising from 10.8% in Q3 to 11%.
