Bank of India profit rises 32% in Q1 on other income boost

BANK OF INDIA (BOI) reported a 32% year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in net profit to ₹2,252 crore for the first quarter of FY26, driven by other income, especially treasury income.
On a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis, the net profit slipped by 14.2% from ₹2,626 crore in Q4FY25. Other income surged 66% to ₹2,166 crore from ₹1,302 crore a year ago.
Net interest income (NII), a key revenue metric, decreased by 3% in Q1FY26 to ₹6,069 crore, compared to ₹6,275 crore in the same period last year. Q-o-q, the NII remained flat at ₹6,063 crore in Q4FY25.
