Nabard: 76% rural families see income rising next year

OVER 75.9% OF rural households expect their income to increase over the next year, according to a bimonthly survey conducted by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) in November 2025.
This represents the highest level since the survey commenced in September 2024. The survey, titled ‘Rural Economic Conditions and Sentiments’ noted “it is possible that the Trump tariff-related impact on farm and non-farm exports, and the associated impact on rural income and employment, is perceived by the households to dampen prospects only in the short-term, but over the next one year they expect the situation to improve.”
