West Asia — which Sarma describes as a “second home” — accounts for a significant part of L&T’s business, with around 100 active sites across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Kuwait. The region contributed 37% of the company’s order inflows in 9MFY26.
Despite near-term disruptions, L&T is already looking beyond the conflict. Sarma said the crisis could spur countries in the region to accelerate project execution and rethink energy logistics, creating new opportunities.
