Labour ministry monitoring TCS layoffs

THE LABOUR MINISTRY is keeping tabs on Tata Consultancy Services'(TCS) as it executes its layoff plans and has asked the company for clarifications, people aware of the matter said.
Media reports suggest that senior executives at TCS have been summoned for a meeting later in the week in connection with the recent announcement and reported delays in onboarding new hires. Financial Express could not independently verify this development.
Queries sent to TCS remained unanswered at press time.
