L&T misses estimates in Q3, profit rises 14%

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) posted a 14% jump in net profit for Q3FY25 at ₹3,359 crore, missing analyst estimates of ₹3,771 crore.
ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) posted a 14% jump in net profit for Q3FY25 at ₹3,359 crore, missing analyst estimates of ₹3,771 crore. In the year-ago period, it had posted a profit of ₹2,947 crore. Sequentially, the profit was flat compared to ₹3,395 crore in Q2.
The company's revenues from operations were in line with analyst expectations. It went up 17.3% at ₹64,668 crore in Q3FY25, as compared to ₹55,128 crore in Q3FY24. The company said revenues rose on the back of strong order book and a ramp up in execution momentum across its projects & manufacturing (P&M) businesses. Analysts had estimated revenues of ₹64,742 crore.
