Trump's rare note of unity after crushing win in Iowa contest

DONALD TRUMP scored a record win in the Iowa caucuses last night to cement his crushing domination of the 2024 Republican presidential race, as the field narrowed heading into next week's New Hampshire primaries.
The former president, 77, adopted an unusually conciliatory tone after his victory amid a low turnout as temperatures plunged to minus 25C in the midwestern state, the first to see Republican voters choose their preferred candidate to run against Joe Biden in November. Florida governor Ron De Santis
finished a distant second, just ahead of former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, who is battling with Mr DeSantis to stay in the race. Right-wing entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who flickered in early debates last year, dropped out and endorsed Mr Trump.
