Pep hails City for keeping emotions in check in epic

PEP GUARDIOLA praised his players for keeping their composure amid the chaos of their Champions League epic at the Bernabeu last night.
The lead changed hands three times in a six-goal thriller, and Guardiola hailed the emotional stability of his side.
City went ahead through Bernardo Silva's quick free-kick, but Madrid then scored twice through a Ruben Dias own goal and a Rodrygo strike.
Phil Foden scored a brilliant longrange effort to bring City level and Joskvo Gvardiol then hit his own stunner to put the holders ahead.
Federico Valverde equalised late on with another sublime finish to leave the tie finely poised ahead of next week's second leg at the Etihad.
