Investment of £7.9 billion and the creation of 16,000 jobs has been predicted for the Forth Green Freeport as a result of £25 million of seed funding announced yesterday by the UK Government.

Forth Freeport predicted to bring in investment of £7.9bn

Leith is part of the Forth Green Freeport, established in 2018, and offers businesses incentives for locating in the area to attract inward investment. Leading to up to 16,000 jobs with around 16,000 of them in green employment in the green sector including sustainable fuels, modular manufacturing and logistics.
