The short film, which is expected to be released later this month, will come as the latest edition of Scotland Distilled, in which he plans to cover some of country's outdoors, culture, and food and drink.
Beaumont was joined by former schoolfriend Jayne Lawson, founder of Stride Out Running Tours, for a 16-mile jog encompassing Arthur's Seat, Blackford Hill and Leith.
They took in the Old Town, Murrayfield Stadium and Dean Village en route, meeting people including Scotland rugby player Pierre Schoeman and chef Tom Kitchin, who briefly ran with them.
