Dumfries football ace Howat makes dream Scotland bow
Dumfries footballer Kirsty Howat marked her first international start with two early goals as Scotland held on for victory over China in their friendly in Jerez on Tuesday.
The Crystal Palace forward was thrilled with her debut, saying she was “so happy and grateful” to get her first start and goals for my country”, adding: “It was a very special night”.
And she was delighted her proud dad Andy made the trip to Spain to watch his girl in action.
