Historic building set to be reopened after renovation

A 19th century Galloway building is getting ready to reopen following a major renovation using historic construction techniques.
Whithorn's town hall lay vacant for 14 years until social enterprise and youth employability scheme, Building Futures Galloway, stepped in to bring it back to life, securing an £80,000 funding boost from SP Energy Networks.
The ambitious eco-friendly project includes the installation of a new air source heat pump and thermal wall insulation, using traditional techniques native to the Galloway area.
