Star's trek was hardly rocket science

Sadly, that wasn't the case this week as the women inside the Blue Origin rocket proved, shrieking and crying and generally sounding like a gang of gals on the back seat of the bus after a particularly heavy bottom-less brunch session.

Don't get me wrong. I'd probably shriek too if I was being fired to the edge of space but that would be through utter terror. I went a bit fuzzy the last time I was at the top of Blackpool Tower so a trip 62 miles above the earth would not be for me.

It was, however, very much for the singer Katy Perry, her mate Lauren Sánchez - the fiancee of rocket owner Jeff Bezos - and an assortment of other chums who were all blasted upwards for an 11-minute flight.
