Plans to turn vacant city centre hotel into large HMO approved

PLANS for a derelict Derby hotel to be turned into a large house in multiple occupation - known as an HMO - have been approved.
Big changes are on the horizon at the former Rangemoor Park Hotel on Macklin Street which has stood in ruin for several years.
The hotel will now be transformed into a large house for 23 people who will live under one roof. It will be close to the new Vaillant Live arena.
The hotel closed down around 2017 after going into receivership. Since then it has remained vacant with some windows bordered up and its entrance appears to have been fenced off.
