New owners for former Cadbury's Biscuits site

THE former site of a Cadbury's warehouse and furniture firm in Ilkeston finally has new owners.
The sale was only completed after the "unconventional" building that formerly occupied the land was demolished.
The site on Furnace Road, Ilkeston, was once home to Belfield Furnishing. It previously had a 98,000sq. ft. two storey distribution hub at its centre.
Constructed in the 1950s/60s, the specialist building was once used by Cadbury's Biscuits. It was built to last, consisting of fortified concrete pillars and floors.
