Making sure children can still play outside in cold weather

CHARITY SUPPLIES COATS, HATS AND GLOVES TO CHILDREN WHO OTHERWISE COULD NOT AFFORD TO STAY WARM

A DERBYSHIRE charity have launched their new winter essentials campaign, which aims to provide gloves, scarves, hats and coats to over 500 disadvantaged children and young people across the county.

Beginning this week, , Lifting Children's Hopes (LCH Charity) will be contacting partner schools across the Derbyshire offering them the chance to nominate those who are impacted by poverty, bereavement or difficult home lives.

Despite only launching the initiative earlier this week, LCH Charity have already received more than 100 nominations.

Nichola Moore, CEO of Lifting Children’s Hopes, said, “Because of poverty, too many children do not have access to the essential items needed to live day to day here in the Derbyshire”
