Ismael rues contract position with rumoured Rams target

BLACKBURN Rovers head coach Valerien Ismael has confirmed the club have made a contract offer to rumoured Derby County target Lewis Travis - but admits they are in a difficult position of their own making.
-
Travis and Sondre Tronstad are both entering the final seasons of their current deals and midfielder Travis has been linked with Derby, Coventry City and Wrexham.
The 27-year-old is Rovers' captain, has been with the club for more than a decade and Ismael is keen to keep him.
Travis could either move in this window for a fee, or see out his last season and move next summer as a free agent.
"Yes, they (the club) made the offer," Ismael told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"But at some point, the player has a choice to take or to leave it.
