VENUE SAYS IT WAS AN 'ISOLATED AND UNFORESEEN' INCIDENT
A FIVE-year-old girl was taken to hospital after she was hit by a firework at an organised display in Derbyshire.
Organisers said they were in touch with the girl’s family following the incident at the show at Kedleston Country House, in Quarndon, on Tuesday evening.
A spokesperson for Kedleston Country House said that “extensive precautions” had been taken in advance of the show, and that all safety protocols had been followed.
“Unfortunately, despite these measures, an isolated and unforeseen incident occurred during the display,” they added.
