Garden centre still growing on visitors as it repeats win
Derby Telegraph
|September 19, 2025
A DERBYSHIRE garden centre has ‘grown’ a habit of scooping awards, having been named the best in the county at what it does for the second year running.
-
Staff at Planters Bretby say they are delighted to be recognised for their hard work once again - saying “it's no coincidence”.
It comes after the Derby Telegraph asked readers for their favourite garden centre over summer, prompting thousands of responses.
Narrowly missing out on top spot was Garden King in Swadlincote, followed by Hudsons Plant Centre in Duffield, and Brook Garden Centre in Chesterfield.
