POLICE FOUND GUNS, HIGH-PURITY HEROIN AND COCAINE AND MORE THAN £350K IN CASH

- By MARTIN NAYLOR

FOUR men involved in a £35million drugs operation which operated from a two-bedroom semi-detached house in Chellaston, have been jailed for a combined total of more than 70 years.

An investigation into the comings and goings at the address in Wakami Crescent in 2018 unearthed guns, including a loaded Uzi, high-purity heroin and cocaine, more than £350,000 in cash and packaging in a shed which showed an industrial amount of both class A and B drugs went through the address.

In 2018, the man arrested there, Ivan Graham, was jailed for 24 years after he admitted a string of offences.

Now, following one of the longest trials ever to be held in the East Midlands lasting some 22 months other members of the organisation he was involved with have been sentenced.

Detective Chief Inspector Darren Brown, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), said: "This has been a long-running and complex case into a multimillion-pound drugs operation throughout Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

"This group was responsible for supplying an enormous amount of class A drugs over the course of two years, using specially adapted technology and vehicles to help with their operation.
