Director Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas offered an alternative look at the holiday season in 1992. Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, caused mayhem with a misguided attempt to introduce Christmas into his realm, giving the festivities a decidedly creepy twist in the process. He says: “My Christmas is filled with laughter and joy and this... my Sandy Claws outfit.”
It took around 100 people three years to make the film and actor Chris Sarandon came out of retirement to provide the voice of Jack.
